Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
As an overarching principle, OSISA supports programmes where ICT policy, technologies, networking, literacy and development awareness are not an end in themselves, but where the emphasis is on social action for change. OSISA does not support ‘inward looking' ICT specialist institutions and individuals, but wide-membership activist efforts where the emphasis is on mobilizing citizens for change. In particular, OSISA supports efforts aimed at enhancing ICTs policy, strengthening civic networks and community informatics and developing new interventions in the area of E Governance.
