JOB PURPOSE

The Finance Analyst is an individual contributor role that tracks and analyzes financial performance against the financial plans, including analyzing organizational performance and market conditions to create finance forecasts, and supports managers to make tactical decisions by providing reports.

The Finance Analyst provides analytical forecasting, reporting and project support to the Finance Manager and other managers.

 

As a Finance Analyst at Open Society-Africa, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing payments of the grant and non-grant payment requests.
  • Perform analysis of the accounts, follow-up on Payables and Receivables.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Budget management.
  • Review of Finance grant reports.
  • Review travel advance reports.
  • Help in the annual audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with specific provisions (statute, regulation, internal procedures) as applicable.
  • Financial Management, Analysis and Control.

EDUCATION

University or equivalent, additional professional qualification in Finance and Accounting.

 

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years’ relevant work experience in a subject area or a specialized field.
